This is the terrifying moment emergency workers rush to French athlete Alessia Zarbo after she fell to the ground during the Olympic 10,000m final.
With just a few laps to go at the Stade de France, one of the favourites went down on the straight as the race continued alongside her.
As the camera followed the leading group around the bend, TV viewers saw doctors rushing to the runner and others bringing a stretcher to help her.
