Terrifying moment: Influencer couple’s plane crashes when engine stalls during a maneuver, leaving them both with devastating injuries
An influencer couple who fell to the ground in a microlight plane crash are trying to rebuild their lives after suffering devastating injuries.
Spanish entrepreneur Xavi Caballol, 49, and his partner, Alba Serch, were involved in a horrific crash at Viladamat airport in Girona on October 19 last year.
The shocking accident, which was caught on camera, happened after Xavi’s motorcycle private ultralight aircraft stopped during a maneuver.
The couple then fell from a height of 50 meters, causing injuries between them including broken vertebrae and other broken bones – Xavi also fractured his skull, causing part of his face to lose mobility.
Now Xavi and Alba are undergoing a grueling road back to rehabilitation.
The couple is in a wheelchair, but is learning to walk again through physiotherapy.
Despite it being traumatic for the couple, Xavi said they decided to publish the video in the hope it will prevent future accidents.

‘The video of the accident that changed our lives. We decided to share this video even though it is traumatic for us,” Xavi said.
‘They tell us that ultralight aviation is very safe and from experience I categorically confirm that this is not the case.
‘It’s a beautiful world that I would reserve for commercial and private pilots with many hours of flight and experience.
‘In my case, I had practiced this kind of maneuver hundreds of times and never before did I come to a stop in such a violent way and fall like a stone.
‘I don’t know if it was due to a downdraft, a thermal, a sudden wind change, as we had a very laminar (smooth) wind… I don’t know.

‘What I do know is that I will never fly again, even though I have my pilot’s license.
“This video also serves to silence the mouths who have no idea about aviation and write fabricated atrocities about the accident.
“God protect you as he protected us.”
The Andorran businessman was known on social media as Ferrariman and the couple flaunted their luxurious lifestyle of fast cars and glamorous destinations.
However, the accident has changed their outlook on life.
Xavi added: “We have always been very selfish and focused on ourselves, but this experience has made us more empathetic to people and created in us the feeling that we are helping others.
“We are forever grateful for this second chance.”
