Shocking images have emerged of a teenage girl being attacked by a mob of men for dressing “immodestly” at a motorcycle event in Iraq.
The 17-year-old was attacked by a male mob who accused her of distracting motorcyclists at a motorcycle racing event in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Video filmed and shared by a race attendee in Sulaymaniyah showed the teenager trying to get away from the area before being forced to run as a crowd of men chased after her chanting: ‘B****’.
The girl, an Iranian national, wore a black vest with a cardigan and skirt.

Other videos posted to TikTok showed her surrounded by cyclists on the track as onlookers cheered for them.

The site is said to be a famous location for racing events often involving women, and the girl, identified as L Tehrani, is a regular at the track.
Sixteen men have been arrested by Sulaymaniyah police in connection with the incident and multiple weapons were recovered.
Hundreds of men and boys chased after the 17-year-old as she fled to escape them.
The teenager, identified as L Tehrani, was charged with dressing ‘immodestly’ for wearing a black vest with a cardigan and skirt.
Men at this specific event, on December 30, demanded that women be excluded, according to a report by Kurdistan’s Draw Media.
The girl was accompanied by a friend, named A Khanaq, who tried to intervene and escort her to safety.
But he was beaten and stabbed by the crowd, according to a report by The National News.
Sulaymaniyah police arrested sixteen men in connection with the incident and several knives and swords from the suspects were also recovered.
The incident comes as women protesters in neighboring Iran continue to tear off their hijabs, cut their hair and fight officers in protest after a young woman died in police custody after being arrested for not wearing a headscarf.
Just a few days ago, an Iranian woman was jailed for ten years for “fostering prostitution” after removing her headscarf in a protest last year.
