Terrifying moment driver flies off interstate
The shocking moment a car veered off a Florida highway and nearly hit a bystander was caught on camera.
Instagram footage posted Saturday by “onlyindade” shows a dark green car on the curb after it veered off southbound Interstate 95 and crashed into the fence.
People rushed to help the driver and passenger out of the car as the aftermath of the crash caused chaos and traffic on the roads in downtown Miami.
Meanwhile, the car lost control and went off the highway, narrowly missing a man and ending up in the field below.
Witnesses said 7NEWS The accident happened on Saturday around 3:30 p.m.

Witness Julio Martinez said CBS: ‘If the car [didn’t] Stay there on the fence, I can’t talk to you right now.
‘When I [saw] the car came, the car stopped there on the fence.’
Martinez sets up a tent every day along Interstate 95. He’s never seen anything like it.
Martinez was one of the people who came to the driver’s aid after the accident.
He described the incident to CBS: ‘He was scared, but when we took him outside, I said, ‘Wow, are you okay? Are you okay?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I’m okay.”
The video shows the driver being pulled out of the car window.
No serious injuries were reported. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, CBS reported.
Mariah Lewis, who witnessed the accident, told 7NEWS: “It’s only by the grace of God that people survived because I don’t understand how you can fall from that height and [live].
The roads were closed while paramedics treated the people in the crashed car, reopening around 6pm.
As a precaution, the man, who was captured on video being helped out of the SUV, was taken to a trauma center, 7NEWS reported.
According to data from the National High Traffic Administration, Interstate 95 is the most dangerous highway in America.
Commenters under the Instagram video shared their thoughts on the situation, with many saying they were relieved that no one was seriously injured in the accident, despite how bad it looked.
