Terrifying moment: crocodile pounces on a small boat full of tourists and almost drags them to their death
This is the horrific moment a giant crocodile suddenly pounced on a boat full of tourists and nearly dragged them to their deaths in Bolivia.
The shocking moment was captured on video yesterday near the village of Santa Rosa by a stunned onlooker on a nearby raft.
Images show how a ship with five people on board was almost capsized by the ferocious animal.
In the video, a tourist can be seen peering over the side of the boat when suddenly a black caiman – part of the crocodile family – emerges from the murky water.
Watch the reptile open its enormous jaw before sliding back into the water.
The woman recording from a nearby boat can be heard shouting, ‘Be careful! Be careful!’, as the crocodile leaves those on board screaming and shouting in panic.
“He’s angry,” the viewer continues, as the boat’s driver desperately tries to reverse the vessel.
Miraculously, no one was injured in the near miss yesterday.

Caimans can grow up to six meters in length and weigh between 95 kg and 300 kg.
They are usually found in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia.
The scare comes just weeks after a crocodile attacked and killed a woman in a coastal town in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
A 4 meter long reptile pounced on mother-of-four Nurhawati Zihura, 46, as she washed her feet in the sea.
Shocked locals heard her screams but could only watch as the beast smashed her body into a terrifying ‘death roll’ to disorient her.
The crocodile then dragged the housewife as she disappeared beneath the surface, near Deaa Orahili Beach in Pulau-Pulau Batu District of South Nias Regency.
Shockingly, the animal emerged about an hour later with Nurhawati’s lifeless body in its jaws.
Chilling footage shows locals throwing dead chickens into the water to distract the deadly crocodile and make it release the body.
