Dramatic video footage captured the moment a man was kidnapped at gunpoint on the streets of Brazil as he waited for a woman he met on Tinder.
The victim, who was celebrating his 35th birthday, was held captive for 10 hours before being rescued by police from a house on the north side of São Paulo in the early hours of Thursday.
He told SBT news that his captors pistol-whipped him and threatened to shoot him unless he gave up the password to his bank accounts.
They eventually forced him to transfer an unspecified amount of money through Pix, a Brazilian instant payment application.

The victim (photo on the bed) told police he had been talking to a woman he met on Tinder for three days and decided to meet her to celebrate his 35th birthday.
Authorities accessed the GPS of the victim's cell phone and tracked him and his captors to a bar. After noticing it was closed, they searched a security camera and saw them walking past another bar. They searched several homes in the area until they were able to find the victim and two of his five captors inside a home
“The entire time I was tied at my hands and legs and with the shirt over my head so as not to identify the criminals,” he said.
'I had to say the right password or I would die. It was really traumatic. At that time I only thought about my children, my daughter, my son, my family and prayed a lot that the situation would turn out well.'
The man told police he had been chatting with a woman on the dating app for three days and agreed to meet her for a date on Wednesday.
A surveillance camera showed the man getting out of his car and standing on the sidewalk waiting for his date to arrive when a man approached him from behind and pointed a gun at his head.
São Paulo police have arrested two suspects in connection with the kidnapping of a 35-year-old man and are still searching for three additional suspects
The suspects were able to overpower the 35-year-old man and forced him into his car before driving away
Four men then ran up to him, forced him into his car and drove away from the scene.
Local residents alerted civil police and investigators were able to access his cell phone's GPS, which led them to a bar, according to a police report obtained by the Brazilian news outlet G1.
Police discovered the bar was closed and checked a home security camera, which showed the kidnappers getting out of the car with the victim and walking to another bar.
Authorities then spotted a gateway to a property where several houses were located and searched each residence until they discovered the man and two of his captors, identified as Jhonatam da Silva and Fabricio Ferreira.
They were arrested on charges of theft and extortion. The police have submitted a request for pre-trial detention to the court.
The other three suspects were still on the run on Friday morning.
Data from São Paulo's Ministry of Security shows that more than 90 percent of kidnappings reported in the state are attributed to fake profiles set up on dating apps, including Tinder.
