Terrifying footage shows the moment a San Francisco 49ers fan is brutally run over by a gang of dirt bikers while trying to buy beer at a local gas station.

Ariel Cruz decided to walk to the Gulf station around 11 p.m. on February 11 after getting drunk while watching the football team’s overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs when he saw a gang of dirt bikers nearby. reports the San Francisco Standard.

One of them then allegedly punched him in the mouth, splitting his lip on both sides. Video footage captured by a bystander showed the brutal gang teasing him. They raced around him on dirt bikes and a quad bike.

Cruz, still wearing a red 49ers jersey, waved his arms frantically as two officers tried to reason with him, batons drawn, before deciding to call for backup.

But the quad then runs over Cruz at high speed, causing him to fall to the ground.

The quad then crashes into a pole in front of one of the gas pumps with such force that the driver is thrown from his seat.

He then appears to get up and run away from the two police officers on the scene, who saw them get away. However, Cruz tries to get back up and trips in the process.

Cruz said he suffered a knee injury and a concussion after the attack and was unable to walk for more than a month, leaving him unable to do his job as a painter.

“I remember my head was split open. I had staples in my head,” the victim said. told KTVU. My knee was so inflamed that I couldn’t walk on it.

Julian Ulloa Gomez, 31, was eventually arrested for the August 29 incident, according to KRON.

He now faces charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon – namely the Yamaha FX quad bike he was riding – against a police officer, as well as filing a false report with police.

According to police, Ulloa Gomez also nearly ran over one of the officers at the scene. San Francisco police were already at the gas station at the time of the attack, conducting a separate investigation.

Ulloa Gomez was detained at 12:48 p.m. on August 30 and has already appeared in court to answer the charges.

After the hearing, Cruz said, police had to take him home because of the large number of supporters the suspect had in the room.

β€œMr. Ulloa Gomez is a Bay Area resident who worked for a local towing company for many years,” Deputy District Attorney Eden Schwartz told The Standard.
