Terrifying moment as driver hits grandfather Ken Teshima, 66, after crashing into LA parking lot, leaving him in ICU with skull fracture

  • Ken Teshima, 66, was hospitalized with a cracked skull after being hit by a homeless assailant in a car
  • The grandfather said he first caught the attacker sleeping in his car six months ago, which escalated into violence on July 30.

Shocking surveillance footage captured the moment an enraged homeless man drove into an elderly Los Angeles grandfather after being punched in a parking lot.

Ken Teshima, 66, said he was certain the attacker was ‘trying to kill’ him, and the impact left him hospitalized with a fractured skull and internal bleeding.

The accountant said he first met his attacker six months ago, when he found him asleep in his car. He says the unknown man told him he was homeless but worked nearby.

On July 30, after the two disagreed over the continued presence of the large homeless person outside his business, the man rammed into a gray Teshima sedan, sending it sprawling onto the concrete.

‘He wanted to kill me. He hit me as hard, as fast as his car could go,” he said KTLA.

Teshima says he initially allowed the homeless person in the area to stay outside his accounting firm in Torrance, California, telling him, “You can stay here, but don’t make trouble.”

But he says the bum’s behavior quickly escalated, to the point where Teshima claims he caught him “pooping on the floor” last week.

He says the disgusting act led him to order the tramp to leave the premises, leading to a furious clash when the two nearly came to blows.

Footage from before the horror vehicular attack showed the men with their fists raised, but neither punched the other.

Teshima says he refused to participate in the fistfight, and for a moment thought he was scattering the situation when the suspect ran away from the parking lot.

“I thought everything would be fine,” he said. “But it wasn’t.”

As Teshima was walking back to his business, the man violently accelerated into a car on the grandfather, sending him backing through a bush onto the concrete sidewalk. Teshima did not explain how the homeless person got the car.

“I went flying and I fell here,” he said, recalling the horrific incident. ‘He wanted to kill me. He hit me as hard, as fast as his car could.

“Fortunately, when I hit the sign here, his car hit the post and his car stopped. But I kept going and fell there.’

He said the impact was “quite hard,” but credited years of martial arts training to being able to absorb the impact. “It could have been harder if I hadn’t braced myself and turned sideways,” he added.

“God watches over me,” he continued. “He didn’t want me to die. I have a reason to be here. I have to thank the Lord for that.’

Teshima filed a police report with the Torrance Police Department for assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run, but no arrests have yet been made.
