This is the shocking moment an LA driver was run off the road and then robbed in broad daylight as he knelt on the road with his arms in the air.
The incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when a black Dodge Caravan occupied by four men wearing ski masks deliberately crashed into a black Alfa Romeo on eastbound I-10 west of Arlington Avenue in South Los Angeles.
“The victim’s vehicle was disabled as the suspects proceeded to rob the victim,” the California Highway Patrol later confirmed.
A passenger in a passing car filmed the terrifying moment the robbers surrounded the victim and began searching his vehicle.
According to authorities, the suspects, who were armed with a hammer and a crowbar, then fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Malibu and were last seen driving east on I-10.

A witness, who later also filmed the incident told Eyewitness News “It looks like they knew what he had in his car… I really felt sorry for him, I thought it was over for him, but he did the right thing,” the witness said.
“He put his hands up, let them take what they brought and that was the safest way he could have done it.”
Although the scene that unfolded seemed like something out of a movie, the witness added, “But it was as real as it gets. Because that’s how it is in Los Angeles.’
A Ford Mustang was also hit during the crash.
No injuries were reported and the suspects are still on the run.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Southern Division Major Crimes Unit.
It is also not known what was stolen and whether there is a connection between the suspects and the victim.
Organized crime and theft have become a growing problem for the Democratic-led city, with officials blaming the no-cash bail policy.

The policy means that individuals arrested and charged with a crime are subsequently released without having to post bail up front.
Los Angeles Police Protective League spokesman Tom Saggau told Fox News Digital this summer that he believes the increase is due to a zero bail policy.
He told the newspaper: ‘The abolition of cash bail for these types of offenses is really an invitation to these types of people who tend to break the law and do so in such a brazen way.’
Saggau continued, “These people need to be held accountable in a way that requires them to forfeit their freedoms.”
The comments followed a series of high-profile robberies, including a major attack on a Nordstrom.
Footage of the incident shows several individuals snatching security-tagged goods and looting clothes rails, while what appears to be a staff member apparently urging other customers to stay away.
Thieves are seen heading for the exit, with one of them carrying a suitcase and other luxury luggage.
