Actor Zachary Quinto takes on the role of the supernatural villain Charlie in the supernatural series

It sees him transform into an ancient creature with prosthetics, something that really appealed to the actor.

He told Vulture, “I was actively looking for a role where I could disappear and really lose myself in the physicality of the character.

‘We have done everything you can do prosthetically. There was literally no part of my face uncovered,” he added.

Australian actor Ashleigh Cummings, who viewers know from Westside and Gallipoli, also appears.

Supporting cast members include Ólafur Darri Ólafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen.

Series creator Jami O’Brien told The Wrap, “It’s kind of a fun twist on the vampire genre.

“Charlie Manx is a kind of vampire, but he’s not a kind of vampire we’ve seen before.”
