Teresa Giudice recalls meeting Taylor Swift in VIP area at Coachella – after their selfie went viral: ‘I’m such a Swiftie now’

Teresa Giudice recalled meeting Taylor Swift at Coachella during Tuesday’s episode The conversation — after the duo’s selfie went viral last month.

The RHONJ star, 51, gushed that the singer, 34, was a “total sweetheart,” as she explained the chance meeting in the VIP area of ​​the festival.

Teresa said it was her husband Luis Ruelas, 49, who first saw Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.

“Suddenly, Taylor and her boyfriend [Travis] I’m walking by and passing us, right next to us, and my husband says, “Honey, that’s Taylor Swift!” And I thought, “Oh my God,” she recalled.

Teresa told The Talk co-host Jerry O’Connell that she doesn’t usually ask celebrities for their photos because “I don’t like to bother them.”

But considering Swift was one of the most famous people in the world, it was an opportunity Teresa couldn’t pass up.

Swift also happens to be her BFF Jennifer Aydin’s favorite star.

“I thought, ‘I’m going to do this for Jennifer Aydin.’ [because she] loves Taylor Swift,” she declared.

When Teresa finally worked up the courage to approach Swift, she was happy to hear that the multiple Grammy Award winner knew exactly who she was.

“I asked her, ‘Do you know who I am?’ And she said, “Yes,” Teresa recalled with a smile.

That’s when Teresa asked to take a picture with the Pennsylvania native.

‘I said, “Can I take a picture with you?” And her bodyguard moved [out of the way] and then we had our picture taken together.’

After taking the photo, Teresa’s husband Luis uploaded it to Instagram and it immediately went viral as fans marveled at the unlikely duo.

Teresa said she is now a “Swiftie” and that Taylor was a total “sweetheart” to her.

“I have to say Taylor Swift was so sweet. I’m such a Swiftie now. I’m such a fan. She was such a sweetheart. She really was,” she told the show’s co-hosts.

Also in the VIP pit was Teresa’s favorite singer Justin Bieber.

But the Bravolebrity was too nervous to ask the Baby hitmaker, 30, for a selfie.

‘I wanted to ask him [for a photo] and then I just didn’t do it because I didn’t want to bother him,” she explained.

Teresa added that, like Taylor, Justin is a “sweetheart.”

Her selfie with Taylor has racked up more than 14,000 likes on Instagram.

Luis, who married the Bravo star in 2022, shared the photo with fans on April 14.

“Two absolute QUEENS, Taylor Swift and my beautiful wife,” he captioned the image before adding the hashtags “#GirlPower,” “#Queens,” “#Blessed,” and “#Coachella.”

Swift wore a dark jacket and a green backwards baseball cap over her blonde locks, which were styled with face-framing bangs.

Meanwhile, Teresa was dressed in a pink cowboy hat. She added a knitted, white mesh cardigan with yellow polka dots all over.

Teresa’s BFF and Real Housewives co-star Aydin was one of the first to comment.

She captioned the post: ‘Ok- [I’m] finally jealous of something!!’

Teresa and Taylor both attended the first weekend of the festival in Indio, California, which was headlined by artists such as Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat.

Taylor and Travis, who have been romantically involved since summer 2023, made a surprise appearance on day two of weekend one when they were spotted watching Ice Spice’s Coachella set.

The power couple stayed at the exclusive The Madison Club in La Quinta, California as a last hurray before Swift embarked on the European leg of her Eras Tour in May.

Teresa and Luis called their 2024 Coachella experience an “unforgettable experience” as they documented their time in the desert on Instagram.
