Given the length of time fans have been clamoring for them to meet in the ring, along with Spence’s status as one of boxing’s leading pound-for-pound stars, the one-sided nature of the match led many to bill him as the best fighter in the world. planet.
However, Crawford insists there was always ‘no comparison’ between the two welterweight rivals, claiming that unlike Spence, he has already secured a place in the Hall of Fame.
“Errol Spence is a great fighter, he has done great things in the welterweight division. But there is no comparison,” he told former opponent Travis Hartman Podcast ‘Roads’.

The Nebraska native insists there was always “no comparison” between them as fighters
“If you compare Errol Spence to Terence Crawford, there was no comparison. I’m already going to the Hall of Fame. If we retire now, he won’t go to the Hall of Fame.”
Crawford then boasted that his win over Spence was easy compared to other opponents on his resume, adding, “But when it’s all said and done, if you look at my fight with Errol Spence and how easily I beat Errol Spence in compared to all these guys they call bums, they should tell them something right there.
“The guys you called bums fought better than your favorite fighter.
“I’m not saying he didn’t put up a good fight and it was easy, because by far it’s never easy in the ring. But the fight was much easier than I thought.”
Since toppling Spence, Crawford has been vocal in calling out undisputed super-middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, who will meet another undisputed champion next weekend in 154lbs master Jermell Charlo.

He expects the rematch to take place after Spence exercises his contractual right to it

And he claims their second fight will likely go ahead again at 147 pounds, as each man is contractually obligated to notify the other team if they want to change the weight. Many have urged Spence to move up to 154 pounds because of the loss.
“He was practicing his rematch and that’s the fight that should happen next,” Crawford said.
“So we’ll see how the negotiations go and how everything goes. We’re supposed to fight in December, and I’m back training.”
