Tennis legend Serena Williams confirmed that even the biggest star athletes share the same gym struggles with the masses.

Williams, 42, revealed on Instagram that she spends most of her workouts taking selfies until she gets the “perfect angle.”

“I spend 50% of my time at the gym taking selfies,” Williams wrote. “I'm trying to get that perfect angle that makes me look robbed.”

The 23-time Grand Slam winner posted the caption along with a series of mirror selfies in one of the workouts mentioned.

“Well I found that angle so don't look at me sideways when I'm personally a little fatter lol,” she added with a laughing crying emoji.

Fans expressed the relatability of her post in the comments section.

“Honey that's what we all do,” one fan commented.

“I feel that my sister,” another added. 'Here also.'

Aside from her 23 Grand Slams in singles, Williams won 14 Grand Slams in doubles and two majors in mixed doubles during her storied 27-year career.

Williams has a total of 73 singles titles on the WTA tour, along with three gold medals in doubles and one in singles competitions at three Olympic Games.

In September 2022, Williams retired from tennis, but called her break an “evolution” rather than a retirement.

“I never liked the word,” Williams wrote in an issue of Fashion. 'To me it doesn't feel like a modern word.

“I've seen this as a transition, but I want to be sensitive to how I use that word, which means something very specific and important to a community of people.”

“Maybe the best word to describe what I'm up to is evolution,” she continued. “I'm here to tell you that I'm moving from tennis to other things that are important to me.”

Williams revealed that she decided to take some time off to spend time with her family while she and husband Alexis Ohanian tried to have another baby. Williams, who won the 2017 Australian Open while pregnant, said she did not want to be pregnant again while playing.

“For the past year, Alexis and I have been trying to have another child, and recently we received information from my doctor that reassured me and made me feel like we can expand our family when we're ready. Williams wrote at the time. 'As an athlete, I absolutely do not want to be pregnant again. I have to be two feet in tennis or two feet out.”

Williams and Ohanian have since welcomed their second daughter Adira in August. The couple's firstborn, Alexis Olympia, was born in September 2017.
