A 58-year-old Tennessee woman has set the record for the world’s longest mullet, which is nearly equal to the height of an average man.
Tami Mani’s long, auburn locks are a whopping five feet long.
A mullet is defined as a haircut that is “short on the top and long on the back” and is commonly referred to as “business on the front and party on the back.”
Manis, who is from Knoxville and works as a public health nurse, said she hasn’t cut her hair in 33 years and has worn this haircut since the 1980s. BBC reported.
According to her, the inspiration for the style came from the music video ‘Voices Carry’ by the American rock band ‘Til Tuesday.
In 2024, her mullet will be featured in the 2024 Guinness World Records book.

Until Tuesday, singer Aimee Mann wears a platinum blonde spiky hairdo in the music video Manis fancied.
“The girl had a rattail and I really wanted one,” she told Guinness World of Records, the news channel reported.
The tougher haircut that was all the rage in the 1980s and early 1990s was sported by musicians, actors, and the like, including Patrick Swayze, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Mario Lopez.
Manis said the last time she went to the hairdresser was in 1989 and she immediately regretted it. Her hair hasn’t been near a pair of scissors since.
Her new world title is not the first victory for Manis, in 2022 she finished second in the 2022 US Mullet.
