A Tennessee motorcyclist who disappeared while on his way to pick up breakfast at McDonald’s was found alive in a ditch after nearly three days.
Taylor Boyle, 27, was found on Oct. 17 at 11 p.m. on a 15-foot embankment less than a mile from his home. It was hidden under trees and bushes, dried out but functional.
Police and ambulances soon arrived to take Boyle to a hospital to have him examined. He was found with a dislocated elbow, a concussion and a mild brain hemorrhage.
Boyle was on his way to meet friends when he stopped at a McDonald’s to pick up breakfast. While heading to his partner’s nearby home, he swerved and fell into a ditch.

He was found on October 17 at 11 p.m. on a 15-foot embankment less than a mile from his home.

His friends and family last heard from him on October 15 and quickly filed a missing persons report with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
Police posted an official appeal on their website, writing, “The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man whose family has reported him as a missing person.
‘Taylor Boyle (5’10, 150, Blue Eyes) was last spoken to by family members at approximately 10am on Sunday, October 15, 2023 and may have been in the Halls area.
“Boyle was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black and white flannel.”
After days of searching, his friends found Boyle and his crashed blue Harley Davidson in a ditch. He still had his friend’s breakfast with him.
Brandon Lawson told 10 News, “He was laying here, his shirt and his belt were here, I think. Here he was for two days – 60 hours.
‘When I looked down there I didn’t see it at first and as I looked out I saw something glistening – actually all I saw was the light reflecting. And when I did, I looked back and all I saw was the Harley wheel.
After he was found, his sister-in-law posted a message thanking all his friends and the private search and rescue team involved in finding him.
His friends and family last heard from him on October 15 and quickly filed a missing persons report with the Knox County Sherrif’s Office.

‘To the entire group of friends who showed up without any hesitation, searched creeks, ditches, bushes, knocked from door to door and left work to help us search by car and on foot from morning to evening until he was found it.
“To the private search and rescue team who volunteered to send a team, and to the Knox County Police Department who sent a helicopter and a thermal drone.
“Eventually, by the grace of God and true friends, Taylor was found.
“True friends are hard to find and without this group of friends, Taylor wouldn’t be here. You know who you are. He had guardian angels with him because he thought he had only camped there for an hour with his father.’
Boyle is recovering in hospital and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
