Telstra has been hit by a massive outage – with several customers complaining that their mobile data isn’t working.
In a statement, the telco said: “We are investigating an issue affecting some Telstra mobile customers nationally.
“Customers may experience a loss of mobile data services. We are working urgently to resolve the issue.”
According to the site Downdector, customers of the telco had been experiencing problems since 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The connection problem seems to affect internet, phone and wifi.

One Twitter user said: ‘It looks like @Telstra is having some sort of mobile data outage in Rose Bay (in eastern Sydney) at the moment so I’ve resorted to connecting to the free WiFi from one of their remaining phone booths. .’
Complained another: ‘I’m in Melbourne’s central shopping centre. Why is the data rate so damn slow?’
“I haven’t had access in weeks…just nonsense, useless messages like ‘Your internet connection has dropped,'” a third complained.
