Tekashi 69 attack: New gym surveillance footage shows moments just before the LA Fitness attack

A shocking new video shows the minutes just before rapper Tekashi 6ix9nine was attacked by a group of men inside a Florida LA Fitness on Tuesday.

Surveillance footage of the gym obtained by TMZ shows that the men may have had a plan to attack the rapper when one man lets another into the premises just before the beating.

In the video, a man is seen inside the gym talking on the phone before approaching a door and letting a second man into LA Fitness in South Florida.

The men approach the front desk clerk with whom they chat briefly before walking directly into the bathroom where the brutal attack took place.

Footage of the attack itself was posted online Tuesday night and shows the rapper being jumped on, who was seen bloodied and blue with serious injuries.

In the new footage, a bald-looking man is seen looking out the window at the front of the gym as the woman at the front desk talks to a client.

The man looks around, appears to be waiting for someone, then opens the door and hangs up when he sees the person approaching.

The first unidentified attacker is dressed in black from head to head and has a large beard.

The other man he lets into Palm Beach LA Fitness is wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts with a large chain around his neck.

As they pass the front desk, the first man tells the front desk clerk to go to the bathroom as they walk past.

Distracted by another conversation, the woman does not stop the couple.

At one point, as they headed straight for the bathroom, the first man appears to turn his head towards the front desk clerk and the second man has a smile on his face.

In another clip from inside the gym, the men appear to have detained a third attacker, also dressed from head to toe in black.

The group walks towards the bathroom, even passing a man who looks up from his phone and turns his head towards the sinister-looking group of people.

The 26-year-old, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was leaving LA Fitness when he was mugged.

The beating took place at this LA Fitness in Lake Worth, Florida

The artist was beaten ‘to the core’ in the ambush, his attorney Lance Lazzaro told TMZ. He had no security available at the time, but he did his best to defend himself.

The group of men who beat him later bragged about the attack on social media.

In videos circulating online, he was called a ‘rat’ who would not be tolerated in his ‘neighborhood’. .

As they kicked and punched him, one could be heard yelling at the other: ‘Take a picture, take a picture, now I’m going to be famous.’

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that the rapper was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face, back, ribs and jaw.

According to the medium, hHe is still receiving treatment at the hospital.

Tekashi 69 was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of armed robbery, attempted murder, racketeering, and possession of firearms.

The exact motive for the attack remains unknown at this time.

It’s unclear what prompted the attack, but Tekashi has no shortage of enemies; in 2018, he was labeled a “snitch” after testifying for prosecutors against the likes of the Bloods gang and Cardi B.

The rapper reached a deal to reduce his own sentence after being charged with a series of crimes and spent just two years behind bars.

Tekashi had faced a minimum sentence of 47 years and a maximum of life in prison when he was arrested in 2018 on charges including racketeering, possession of firearms, armed robbery and attempted murder.

It was part of a widespread crackdown on gangs in New York, during which nine members of the same gang were arrested.

He quickly abandoned his co-defendants, cut a deal with the prosecution, and agreed to be their star witness.

In court, he took the stand to describe the inner workings of the gang and his own rise through it.

“We participated in many crimes. Robberies, muggings, drugs,’ she said.

As a result, Anthony Ellison, one of his co-defendants, was sentenced to 24 years in prison.

Tekashi was sentenced to two years in prison in December 2019.

After testifying for the government against gang members in 2018, the rapper was branded a ‘snitch’ and beefed up his security team.

Among those framed by Tekashi at the trial was rapper Cardi B. She was not charged.

The rapper quickly settled with prosecutors and agreed to testify against his bandmates, some of whom have been sentenced to 24 years.

By then, he had already turned 13 months old.

He was released in early April 2020 and allowed to serve out the remainder of his term under house arrest.

He had pleaded with corrections officials to release him, saying he was afraid of contracting COVID behind bars.

Since then, he has done little to keep a low profile.

He continues to flaunt money and women on social media, where he has more than 24 million followers, and continues to make music.
