Nine teenagers arrested after police raided the hotel and allegedly found drugs and knives strewn all over their room

- They allegedly found knives and methamphetamine and arrested nine people
- In a separate incident, police also allegedly found a number of knives in their car search.
Drugs and weapons were allegedly discovered in a nighttime raid on an Adelaide hotel room that led to the arrest of nine teenagers.
South Australian Police, including the Criminal Gangs Task Force, detectives from Operation Meld who investigate youth gangs and Rescue and Special Tasks officers, attended the Franklin St hotel early Sunday morning.
The officers searched the suite and allegedly found methamphetamine and a number of knives, which were seized for further examination.
An 18-year-old Craigmore man and a 17-year-old Blakeview boy were charged with trafficking in controlled drugs and breaching bail.

A 16-year-old boy from Elizabeth Vale was charged with carrying an offensive weapon and breaching bail.
A 17-year-old Craigmore boy was charged with false state details, breaching bail and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
A 17-year-old Victorian boy was arrested on a warrant.
While the remaining four, a 19-year-old Burton man, an 18-year-old Salisbury man, a 17-year-old Munno Para West boy and a 17-year-old Andrews Farm boy, were charged with rape of bail
A few hours later, in a separate incident around 5:30 a.m., police followed a driver who was burned on Hindley Street, but the car was later found abandoned in West Hindmarsh, in the west of the city.
A search of the white Ford sedan, which had run out of fuel, also turned up a number of weapons, including knives and baseball bats, and the dog squad was brought in to help search the area.
A 20-year-old female passenger has been issued a cannabis expiation notice and a 17-year-old female passenger is expected to be charged with weapons-related offences.
The driver was not found and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
