Beecroft teenager is found dead after disappearing two weeks ago

A body has been found during the search for a teenager, more than two weeks after he went missing.

The 17-year-old boy from Beecroft in Sydney’s northwest was reported missing on December 16 when he did not return home and could not be contacted.

NSW Police searched for the boy in North Rocks and surrounding areas, a spokesman said.

The body found on Saturday is believed to be that of the missing teenager.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
