Teenage boy is charged with murder after young man dies in violent brawl
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a man after a fatal brawl involving dozens of other youths.
Police were called at around 7pm on Friday to reports of a violent clash between a group in Melbourne’s far west.
Officers arrived at McBurnie Drive, Kurunjang to find two men, aged 18 and 22, and a 15-year-old boy with injuries.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the 18-year-old man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old man and 15-year-old boy, both from Harkness, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He will appear in juvenile court at a later date.
The 22-year-old is under police guard in hospital.
The police assumed that the incident was targeted and that those involved knew each other.
About 40 people left after police arrived.
