Teen arrested for breaking into Michael Jordan’s $15 million Chicago mansion…but the NBA legend hasn’t lived in the property since 2012 as he desperately tries to sell it
An 18-year-old has reportedly been arrested for breaking into NBA legend Michael Jordan’s $15 million mansion in Chicago.
The 60-year-old Jordan was not in the building at the time, according to TMZbut the teen was found in the building after neighbors alerted police on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 4.
The teen has been dubbed Raiden Hagerdorn by local media and has been charged with misdemeanor misdemeanor and two counts of criminal damage to property.
Jordan has not lived in the building since 2012. He’s been trying to sell it for 13 years, initially putting it up for sale for $29 million. TMZ says the latest value is just under $15 million.
The house has nine bedrooms. 19 baths, an indoor basketball gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis court and cigar room.

Jordan has been trying to sell the property since 2012 – it has almost halved in value
The gates to the property are also personalized with the number 23 – the number synonymous with Jordan and his all-conquering NBA career with the Chicago Bulls.
Jordan was a six-time NBA champion with the Bulls in a career spanning 1991-98, and a five-time MVP. He retired in 2003 after a time with the Washington Wizards.
His mansion in Chicago was recently used for a video shoot for Travis Scott’s song “Franchise.”
A mansion isn’t the only thing Jordan is trying to sell right now. His NBA team, the Charlotte Hornets, is also reportedly in the market.
He has a controlling interest in the team worth $1.7 billion and wants to sell it after 13 years as owner of the franchise.
The Hornets have had a miserable season and are 24-56 for the campaign – 14th in the Eastern Conference.
