A Florida teenager and his grandmother have been arrested for allegedly harboring a 16-year-old girl after she went missing last month.

Aliyah Duncan was reported missing in Lake County on Sept. 5 and since then, police have interviewed several family members and people known to the missing youth.

But on Oct. 9, Duncan was found at a home in Lake County where her boyfriend, Damion Anderson, and his grandmother, Debbie Myers, lived.

The duo is charged with interference with child custody, providing false information to law enforcement and contributing to the delinquency of a minor by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The 63-year-old was released the same day after posting a $4,000 bond. It is unknown if Anderson, also a juvenile, was being held in jail.

The sheriff’s office did not disclose why Duncan was at Anderson’s home. During the early stages, Lake County Sheriff’s Office said News 6 that the missing youth ‘left on her own’.

In an Instagram post, the sheriff’s office detailed that they met with the arrestee nearly a dozen times over three weeks and each time Anderson and Myers gave little or no information.

“Both parties provided little information as they were determined to have no knowledge of the youth’s whereabouts.

‘Anderson and Myers were made aware of the multiple resources being used to locate the juvenile.

“Additionally, they were both informed of the criminal charges they would face if they had knowledge of the juvenile’s location and chose to withhold that information from law enforcement.

Officials confirmed that Duncan was at the duo's home the entire time she was missing

“Myers’ response was that she believed the extensive search was becoming ‘ridiculous’ and that whoever was responsible for assisting the juvenile should be charged,” the office wrote.

Officials also confirmed that Duncan had been at their home since she went missing.

“By the end of using several different investigative strategies and extensive resources, the juvenile was finally located at the residence of Myers and Anderson.

She stayed there the whole time, she was reported missing,’ they said.

At the time of disappearance, Duncan was described as five feet seven inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. She was last seen in the area of ​​the 36800 block of Sundance Drive in Grand Island, Florida.
