A teenage prankster was shot and seriously injured after he and his friends played ding-dong-ditch at the home of a gunman in Maine.
Vincent Martin, 30, allegedly opened fire on the group of teenagers who targeted his home around 1 a.m. Saturday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.
The group knocked on the door of the home on Waterford Road, but before they could run away, Martin reportedly opened the door and fired a barrage of gunshots.
One of the teens was hit in the calf by a bullet and seriously injured, the sheriff’s office said.

“The resident of 91 Waterford Rd., later identified as 30-year-old Vincent Martin of Harrison, pulled out a firearm and shot the teens multiple times,” the statement said.
It further said that one of the bullets struck the “victim in the right calf, causing serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.”
Hearing several gunshots and screams, local police officers rushed to the scene.
There they discovered a trail of blood on the road.
The injured teen, whose gender and age have not been released by investigators, walked into Bridgton Hospital, where authorities say he is now in “stable condition.”
Officers soon found Martin at his home and arrested him.

The 30-year-old was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was charged with two felonies: aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
The Maine homeowner was also charged with two felony counts of discharging a firearm.
Martin is now being held in the county jail on $10,000 bail.
The investigation is currently still ongoing.
