Teenage girl’s miraculous escape from rapist who kidnapped her and kept her locked up
A teenage girl has revealed how she escaped the deranged man who kidnapped and raped her while keeping her locked up.
But San Antonio police warn there may be more victims of 47-year-old Jamie Ray Rencher, who is now charged with aggravated kidnapping with intent to sexually abuse. KHOU reports.
He allegedly met the unidentified 17-year-old victim on a chat site and convinced the teen to meet him at a restaurant near her home in Conroe — a suburb of Houston, according to an affidavit. obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.
When the girl then met Rencher and got into his car on Dec. 31, he allegedly crushed her cell phone with a key and threw it out the window, she later told police.
At that point, Rencher reportedly told the teen, “I won’t kill you, I won’t hurt you, I won’t break your bones if you just listen and obey.”
From there, the girl alleged that Rencher drove her to a nearby hotel, where he poured her three shots of alcohol before tying her to the bed with a chain lock, red and black rope and zip ties.
The victim said she then told her captor that she was afraid, to which Rencher allegedly responded, “It’s okay to be afraid, but it’s not okay to disobey.”

As Rencher sexually assaulted the victim, she said she tried to fight back — and was able to punch and scratch Rencher.
But every time she said “no,” he put his hands over her mouth and pinched her nose until she could no longer breathe, she claimed.
He also told the teen that if she continued to fight, “things would get worse,” the affidavit alleges.
After the assault, the victim said Rencher drove her to San Antonio and told her he was “staying her” at a friend’s house for a week while he decided what to do with her.
At one point during the ride, the victim said Rencher stopped at a gas station, where he forced her to break and throw away her laptop.
However, when they arrived in San Antonio, Rencher told the girl that his friend was nervous about housing her because of her age, so he drove the victim to a nearby park, where he let her get out of his car and told her he would doing. come back later to pick her up.
Fortunately, a Good Samaritan let the victim use his cell phone to call the police.
He is being held in the Bexar County Jail (pictured) and his bail has been set at $250,000
She described the hotel where she was attacked in Conroe, and with that information police were able to determine the name of the man who had reserved the room, San Antonio police said.
The victim later positively identified Rechner as her rapist in a photo lineup, they said.
He was then arrested at his San Antonio home, where police said they found the red rope and chain lock still in his vehicle.
They are also said to have discovered evidence that led them to believe there were more victims, with police announcing that more charges may be forthcoming. according to KENS 5.
An investigation into these cases is ongoing.
In the meantime, Rencher is being held in the Bexar County Jail on $250,000 bond.
