A Brazilian teenage girl who gained a following as an influencer by sharing her battle with cancer has died at the age of 13, her family revealed.
Lorena Torezan, 13, was pronounced dead by doctors at Do Amor Hospital in Barreto, São Paulo on Wednesday morning.
Torezan was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 at the age of 10 and underwent chemotherapy to treat the disease, Brazilian news media reported.
She became an instant social media sensation on Instagram, where she shared details of her treatment process and showed off her talent for dancing and facial makeup.

Torezan’s mother, Adriana Lopes, paid tribute to her with a series of videos on her Instagram Story on Thursday morning.
A heartbreaking video showed Lopes handing her daughter a gift before sitting on a chair after shaving her head.
“It seems like a lie,” the heartbroken mother wrote.
Lopes reposted a video on TikTok of Torezan performing a dance routine with the caption, “Daughter, your joy, your unique way. you were light in our lives.”
“You touched many hearts, we are very proud of you, daughter,” Lopes added.
