A group of young fishermen have been applauded for their bravery after a teenager caught a shark off a popular beach.
Witnesses filmed the four teenagers struggling to drag the predatory monster back into the ocean at Quinns Beach, north of Perth, as the sun began to set on Wednesday.
The children grabbed the shark’s back fin as the waves pushed the animal towards the shore.
Footage of the incident shows the distraught creature opening and closing its mouth as bathers frantically work to save it.
