Luke Littler has announced he is giving up late night kebabs in a new health kick after surprising fans with a possible retirement announcement.
Littler, 17, only recently came into the public eye when he became the youngest player to reach the final of the World Darts Championship. However, he became just as famous for his love of kebabs.
Hot Spot, Littler’s local takeaway in Warrington, even offered him free kebabs for life and after he reached the WDC final, where he lost to world number one Luke Humphries, the owners named a kebab after him: the Luke the Nuke Special.
However, Littler has now announced he is ditching takeaways in a bid to look after his health. Speak with The sunLittler said: “It’s not seen as a good thing.

Luke Littler has revealed the shock age at which he could retire – and it could come as a relief to his rivals!
The 17-year-old said he could retire in 10 or 15 years, meaning he could retire at age 27
He says his manager has warned him to take care of himself and eat before his matches to avoid the temptation of late-night fast food.
Littler said, “Even if I stay awake until whenever. I just don’t want to eat. This is my new way of life.’
The new healthy lifestyle wasn’t Littler’s only announcement this week, as he revealed he could put down tools at the age of 27, he said The times.
“I’ve been playing with the juniors for a long time, with the old British Darts Federation,” he said.
“Maybe I’ll do it another ten or fifteen years and retire when I’ve had enough.”
Since reaching the final of the PDC World Darts Championship – which was watched by a record 4.8 million viewers – 2024 has been a whirlwind year.
He has been included in the eight-team Darts Premier League, where he has had great success.
He is currently fourth in the rankings, which Michael van Gerwen leads after winning three of the four evenings so far.
He has met some of his Manchester United heroes including Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Maguire and Erik ten Hag.
There was even a match against Maguire and Christian Eriksen at Carrington where he hit a 180 at the first attempt to improve on their nine-dart scores.
Earlier this month he was announced as a sales representative at clothing retailer BoohooMAN, landing a lucrative modeling deal.
It has been a whirlwind year for Littler, who came agonizingly close to winning the World Darts Championship
Earlier this week it was reported that he has penned a first multi-million pound professional darts contract and launched a new range of darts merchandise bearing his name.
This year he has already won £252,000 in prize money.
