Munno Para Shopping Centre: Chaotic scenes as innocent bystander is knocked to the ground by a teen in Adelaide
Shocking footage has emerged of an elderly man being knocked to the ground by a teenage boy in broad daylight.
Police are currently investigating an unprovoked attack that took place at the Munno Para Shopping Centre in Adelaide’s north on Thursday afternoon.
Footage shows the teenager confronting the 60-year-old man, calling him a “fool” before punching the victim, causing him to fall to the ground.
“Get up, dog,” the teenager appeared to be saying to the man lying on the ground.
The man stood up and grabbed a scooter that was next to him. He tried to defend himself, but was rammed by a shopping cart a moment later.
According to Seven News, the disturbing incident was reportedly filmed by a group of teenagers who watched and did nothing to help the man.
By the time police arrived, the teenagers had already fled.
South Australia Police confirm they are aware of the incident and have launched an investigation.

“Officers spoke to the victim who reported he was pushed and shoved by the group, with the group leaving shortly afterwards,” a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
No charges have yet been filed.
Other shoppers reacted with shock to such chaotic scenes, claiming that ‘things were getting out of hand’.
“It’s not like he was provoked to hit him, he just hit him for no reason,” one woman said. 7News.
A man added: “It’s disrespectful, but unfortunately that’s our society.”
It appears the man was not seriously injured.
