Teddy Swims leaves Aussie busker lost for words after he joins her for impromptu duet of Lose Control
American singer Teddy Swims is currently surprising Australians with his successful I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy tour.
But the 31-year-old pop star provided a much more intimate spectacle for fans in Brisbane this week, wowing locals with an impromptu live performance.
While walking through Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall, Swims came across a busker singing his hit single Lose Control.
Melbourne-born artist Inoxia was visibly shocked when she realised who had stopped to listen.
“Get out of town,” she exclaimed, before inviting the superstar to join her in a duet on his own song.
The duo spontaneously performed Swims’ popular single, after which they moved on to a rendition of Rihanna’s Stay.
The unexpected collaboration was quickly shared on social media, with fans expressing their excitement and jealousy.
“Omg!! Here he goes again!! Teddy Swims is showing off his talent on the sidewalks of the world,” one fan cheered.

“She totally manifested the Teddy!!!” enthused another.
“What a beautiful human being, well done Teddy Swims,” cheered a third, while another admirer admitted: “I would just faint.”
The American singer ended his performance in Brisbane on Tuesday night after the audience broke his strict concert rules.
“Back home in Georgia, we call this simple rule ‘Stick With It,’ so you have to keep an eye on your friends,” Teddy began.

“I want to put this rule in place now so that we’re all safe, we’re happy. Safety is the best thing we can do for each other.”
However, several people in the audience ignored his warning and started fighting when he sang his moving ballad Something I’ll Never Know.
This prompted Teddy to abruptly stop performing and publicly address the offenders.
“Fighting to this song? That’s crazy. Like any other song, I’d say, but this song? That’s wild. What happened to sticking with it?” asked an irate Teddy.

The fighters were quickly led away by security and the perpetrator was able to resume his concert.
“Let’s go back to the place where we all loved each other. I’m starting all over again,” Teddy said, before starting the song over.
Fortunately, the rest of the concert went off without a hitch and Teddy had the audience screaming for more as he sang his biggest hits.
Teddy Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale, is an American pop star who scored a top five hit in Australia last year with his R&B song Lose Control.
He will perform at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion on Thursday and Friday, and will take to the stage at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on Saturday and Sunday.
