“I’m going to a Ralphs at midnight because I want to do some shopping, and suddenly I’m approached. It’s kind of weird where you go, “Oh s**t, of course.”‘
It comes after Brett said he gets fans asking him to say “f**k off” like his foul-mouthed Ted Lasso character Roy Kent.
The star said he’s happy to oblige viewers of the Apple TV+ comedy who want him to step into his role as coach of fictional Premier League side Richmond AFC, but sometimes want to know if the person on the receiving end of his joke abuse ‘deserves it’.
He told the Daily star newspaper about being asked to swear at fans: ‘I had that in a supermarket the other day. “Can you call my aunt and tell her to fuck off?”

Brett recently revealed that he finds it “heartbreaking” that footballer coach Roy and his on-screen girlfriend Keeley Jones – played by Juno Dawson – have broken up.

He told TV insider“I don’t think I can answer that. And likewise, when it comes to hope for the fan-favorite couple, all I can say is that I love Roy and Keeley, and it’s heartbreaking that they broke up.

The Emmy winner labeled his ever-evolving relationship with cocky footballer Jamie Tartt – brought to life by Phil Dunster in Ted Lasso – the “other great love story” on the show, which also stars Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham.
Brett said, “Well, I think it’s the other big love story in Ted Lasso. I think Roy realizes, you know, for all of Roy’s flaws and self-loathing, he sees Jamie as a version of himself.’
