Teary-eyed Jose Mourinho has left Roma’s training ground after being sacked as head coach.

The Portuguese manager was relieved of his duties at the ninth-placed Serie A side despite asking for a new contract.

It comes after his ongoing guerrilla war in the media upset the club’s American owners and he left fans fed up after receiving five red cards during his time in charge.

Having won just one of their last six games, his last game in charge was Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to AC Milan, which he had to watch from the stands due to suspension.

Now new footage has emerged showing Mourinho leaving the training ground with tears in his eyes as fans say goodbye.

Amazingly, it was revealed that Mourinho has made almost £80million just from being sacked by his previous clubs.

Chelsea have paid him more than £26 million alone, with Mourinho pocketing £18 million when he was sacked at Stamford Bridge in 2007 and £8.3 million after his second dismissal in 2015.

He also received a £17 million payout from Real Madrid and almost £20 million from Manchester United when he was offloaded in December 2018 – just months after signing a new two-year contract until 2020.

An ill-fated seventeen-month spell at Tottenham also ended in dismissal and a healthy compensation of £15 million. He had two years left on his deal at Spurs when he was shown the door.

But his payout from Roma is likely to only be around £3million as his contract expires at the end of the season.
