Team USA announces its 18-man soccer roster for 2024 Paris Olympics… led by former USMNT captains Walker Zimmerman and Miles Robinson

US Soccer has announced its 18-player roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

The team’s leading defenders are Miles Robinson and Walker Zimmerman, both former captains of the United States first team and two of the 23-year-old and older players eligible to play on the roster.

The United States also selected midfielder Djordje Mihailovic as the third senior player in the squad.

Other players flying to France who have played for the U.S. national team include two goalkeepers Gaga Slonina and Patrick Schulte and defender John Tolkin.

The American defense corps is formed by Caleb Wiley, Nathan Harriel and Maximilian Dietz.

Zimmerman is the only player to appear on the roster for Team USA at the last World Cup

Tolkin also got the nod to join Team USA with many experienced defenders around him

Gianluca Busio, Tanner Tessman, Jack McGlynn and Benjamin Cremaschi play alongside Djordje Mihailovic in midfield.

Team USA also called up five forwards for Paris, including Paxten Aaronson, the younger brother of USMNT mainstay Brendan Aaronson, and Kevin Paredes of Wolfsburg.

Taylor Booth, Duncan McGuire and Griffin Yow round out the 18 nominees for Team USA.

Goalkeeper John Pulskamp, ​​defender Jake Davis, midfielder Josh Atencio and striker Johan Gomez were named as substitutes.
