This isn’t the first time someone has shared a food hack to avoid a soggy salad.

Earlier, Amanda Meixner of Ohio said that when filling a mason jar with your salad with the dressing on the bottom and the lettuce on top, your food should stay fresh overnight and pour perfectly into a plate the shape in which you want to eat it. .

“This is really the key to making a salad ahead of time, but without any of the ingredients getting too soggy or wilted at the end,” Amanda said in an Instagram video of her “trick.”

“I love adding a can of greens, adding some protein and some fun stuff (I’ve made bacon here) and then topping it with lettuce.

“Then when you’re ready to eat it, just shake the jar, pour it onto a plate, and it comes out delicious.”

In this particular salad, Amanda layered Paleo ranch dressing, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, eggs, bacon, and lettuce.

By keeping the lettuce on top of the jar away from the dressing, she said she can easily ensure nothing wilts or goes bad.
