Taylor Swift’s whirlwind romance with ‘soul mate’ Travis Kelce has produced 138 TONS of CO2 emissions in three months – and the singer would need to plant more than 2,200 trees to offset the damage

When it comes to seeing her new man Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift will take as many flights as she needs – with the star making more than a dozen trips in the past three months alone.

The superstar singer was named the biggest carbon polluter of the year in 2022, and she looks set to take the title for a second straight year as she spends quality time with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Swift, 34, has not only been flying back and forth between New York and Kansas City, but has also been traveling between performances in South America for her ongoing Eras World Tour as her romance with NFL star continues to develop.

Based on statistics kept by Taylor Swift's jets on Instagram, the hitmaker's travels have caused 138 tons of CO2 emissions to date.

The singer would have to plant 2,282 trees and let them grow for ten years to compensate for the environmental damage caused by her flights.

Swift owns two multi-million dollar aircraft: a Dassault Falcon 7x, registered N621MM under Island Jet Inc. and a Dassault Falcon 900, registered as N898TS under SATA LLFC.

Both companies are affiliated with Taylor Swift Productions in Nashville, Tennessee, according to documents from the Tennessee Secretary of State.

After coming out on top in the 2022 pollution rankings, Taylor's rep hit back, claiming Swift often takes other people on her Falcon 7X jet on trips around the world.

However, there is no doubt that she has been aboard the plane since September on its many flights between Kansas City, New York and various other stops.

The trips used 12,622 gallons of jet fuel, estimated to be worth as much as $70,779.

In her biggest trip yet, Swift flew from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Kansas City – with a stop in Tampa, Florida.

4,151 gallons of fuel were used during the trip, which is believed to be worth $23,250.

A spokesperson for Swift told DailyMail.com that it was working to reduce CO2 emissions from its planes by traveling less frequently than in previous years.

“Before the tour launched in March 2023, Taylor purchased more than double the carbon credits needed to offset all tour travel,” the spokesperson explained.

The excess credits mean Taylor could have had more than enough to cover her latest romance which emerged in the middle of her sold-out tour, with her trips to support Kelce increasing her carbon emissions in addition to her planned tour travels.

DailyMail.com previously revealed that Taylor had temporarily moved into her boyfriend's $6 million Kansas City mansion during a break from the tour, with a moving van pictured last month.

A separate source claimed the pair were using it as a 'practice run', with Taylor keen to move in with her 'soulmate' for good if all goes well.

Swift won't return to the stage until February 7, when she makes her tour to Japan.

The singer will take her Eras Tour to Europe, Asia and Australia in 2024. She also announced that she will tour the US again next year.

The couple are said to be 'obsessed' with each other, with the pair flying to and from his matches and her concerts to spend time together.

“While Taylor isn't officially moving in with Travis, her friends and family believe she isn't exactly moving in either,” a source close to the Blank Space singer exclusively told DailyMail.com.

Taylor recently opened up about her romance with Travis in an interview with TIME magazine — shutting down rumors that their first date was her first appearance at one of his home games.

“This all started when Travis adorably fired me up with his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she told the publication.

“We started hanging out right afterward. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to know each other.

“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I guess some people think they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to initiate a first date.'

When she traveled back east after the first outing with Travis, Taylor rented a Hawker Beechcraft 4000, rather than taking one of the two jets she owns.

The Beechcraft burns approximately 2,600 pounds of fuel during the first hour of flight and subsequent hours are 1,800 to 1,900 pounds.

Since then, the star has been using her own jets to ensure she's around to support Travis' team during games in Kansas City, New Jersey and Denver.
