Taylor Swift gave a very emotional performance at her show in Chicago over the weekend, before news of her split from Matty Healy went public on Monday.
The singer, 33, appeared close to tears when her voice began to break during a piano version of “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” an emotional farewell song.
“Wondering if I dodged a bullet, or just lost the love of my life?” Swift sang as her mouth seemed to quiver with emotion.
The song’s lyrics are about breaking up with someone recently, only to realize later that you don’t want to live forever unless they’re with you.
It was reported earlier in the day that Taylor and The 1975 rocker Matty, 34, split after a two-month romance, though it’s not clear why at this point.

The song was recorded by Taylor and former One Direction member Zayn for the soundtrack of the 2017 movie Fifty Shades Darker. It was written by Swift, Sam Dew and Jack Antonoff.
Swift has performed two “surprise songs” every night on her Eras Tour concerts, and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” made the list this Saturday, along with You All Over Me, which she sang with Maren Morris.
Taylor wowed in a vibrant green dress and wore bright red lipstick throughout the performance.
Over the weekend, fans online suggested that Taylor’s performance may have been inspired by her recent split from British actor Joe Alwyn, whom she dated for six years.
However, now it seems that the touching performance had more to do with her more recent breakup.

Healy and Swift remained friends after their first meeting, with the former calling it quits on relationship rumors several times over the years.
However, the pair became the subject of attention after a source spoke to The Sun last month and confirmed that the pair had indeed been seeing each other.
The insider told the media that the two were “extremely proud and excited about this relationship.”
The source also said the artists, who recently worked with Swift during the recording process of her recently released album Midnights, were “madly in love.”
Neither Healy nor the Snow On The Beach singer have commented on their rumored relationship or split as of yet.
