Taylor Swift’s management will ask the NFL to pay for the 14-time Grammy winner’s plane from Japan to Las Vegas and her private luxury box, according to former NFL quarterback turned radio host Boomer Esiason.
Esiason has been a big supporter of Swift’s inclusion in NFL broadcasts and the new wave of fans the “Anti-Hero” singer has brought along to watch the gridiron action.
Still, the former Maryland and Cincinnati Bengals star thinks his steamy take on the NFL’s catering for the singer on the biggest day of the year might be a bridge too far.
There is no evidence that the NFL is paying for Swift to attend Super Bowl LVIII, as her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, will be one of the integral parts of the game when his team faces the San Francisco 49ers .
Swift is expected to be in Las Vegas for the game but has not publicly announced that she plans to be at Allegiant Stadium for the NFL championship game.
Swift is currently in Japan playing four shows on her global tour, which ends Saturday
Esiason has supported Swift but turned on her because she wanted the NFL to pay for a jet and a suite
“You should know that her people are in contact with the NFL. And her people are probably saying, ‘If you want her at the game, you have to pay for the plane back from Tokyo. And she needs her own suite,” Esiason said on his radio show this week.
“I’m telling you, dude. This is business, dude. This is all about business. How often are we, CBS, going to show her? And are we going to show an arrival photo?’ Esiason asked.
“What’s interesting is if the NFL is paying for all this stuff, it could be like, ‘Okay, we’ll take care of all that, but we want to be able to shoot you when you get to the stadium, whatever. Esiason added.
Esiason’s co-host, Gregg Giannotti, asked the former quarterback if he had people within the league telling him this information or if he had a hypothesis about it.
‘I think in this case it’s my assessment. I feel like she’s so powerful, so consuming and the statistics show how successful the NFL has been with her participation and they can break down what they think is her financial impact on the NFL and that number is almost $350 million in the short time she is there,” Esiason said.
Esiason is stating a report that has earned the Chiefs and the NFL $331.5 million from her attendance at games and dating Kelce.

Swift wraps up her Tokyo leg of ‘The Eras Tour’ on Saturday. The time difference would allow Swift to arrive in Las Vegas in plenty of time for kickoff.
Attending Super Bowl LVIII would be Chiefs game No. 13 for Swift this season. She was present for Kansas City’s other three postseason wins.
Guests will pay up to $2.5 million for a luxury suite at Allegiant Stadium, giving Swift a big advantage if the NFL makes one for her.
