Taylor’s Breakup Boom! Swift sees her songs about ex Joe Alwyn RISING streaming numbers – after writing countless songs about their six-year relationship before splitting
Taylor Swift is seeing a spike in her music inspired by Joe Alwyn amid their reported split after six years together.
Songs that have seen an increase in streaming include Cornelia Street, New Year’s Day, Daylight, King of My Heart, Happiness, Sweet Nothing and the 1, according to SpotifySwiftiethrough TMZ.
Taylor and Joe’s breakup was first reported by ET on Saturday, with a source revealing that they broke up “a few weeks ago” after their relationship “just ran its course.”
The couple, who began dating in 2016, reportedly broke up due to “differences in their personalities,” an insider told People.
“They’ve had rough patches before always working it out, so friends thought they’d split up for some time but eventually get back together,” the source said.

The singer and the actor were “ultimately” “not right for each other,” the insider added.
Taylor is on her Eras Tour while Joe is in Hungary filming The Brutalist deadline.
The actor has been working abroad on the project for the past few weeks.
Fans noted that the British actor had not yet attended any of Taylor’s shows ahead of her Eras tour, which kicked off March 17 in Arizona.
Taylor’s next scheduled show is April 13, 14 and 15 in Tampa, Florida.
The biggest leap in streaming is for the tune Cornelia Street, from her 2019 album Lover.
Cornelia Street is about a street in New York City’s West Village where Taylor previously rented premises.
She rented the place the same year she met Joe.

Lyrics in the song include “And I hope I never lose you / I hope it never ends / I’d never walk down Cornelia Street again / That’s the kind of heartbreak that time could never mend / I’d never walking down Cornelia Street.”
The song saw a 106% jump in streaming, according to the outlet.
The song Daylight, also from Lover, also saw a 58% jump in streaming.
The song is about her and someone (presumably Joe) as they navigate their love together, despite both of them being burned by people and love in the past.
And I can still see it all (in my mind) / All of you, all of me (interwoven) / I once believed love would be (black and white) / But it’s gold (gold) / And I can still see y’all (in my head) / Back and forth from New York (sneaking in your bed)” read part of the song’s lyrics.
