Taylor Swift’s Fortnight music video is here! Pop superstar is Victorian goth glam in a $6.2K gown as onscreen lover Post Malone helps her escape an asylum

Taylor Swift dazzled in a stunning $6.2k dress while also exuding gothic Victorian chic as she dropped her emotional Fortnight music video with Post Malone on Friday.

The Grammy winner, 34 β€” who officially released her album The Tortured Poets Department β€” initially uploaded a black-and-white teaser to her fans ahead of the music video’s premiere on Thursday.

The singer was not only joined by the Circles hitmaker, 28 – who also features on the track – but also Dead Poets Society stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles who made surprise cameos.

Moments before the video started, a countdown clock appeared on the screen with the sound of typewriters clicking in the background.

Then a title card appeared with ‘Fortnight’ mimicking the beginning of a silent movie.

The video then cut to Taylor lying on a bed without a mattress while chained to the railing. The bed itself was placed high on a wall in a large room that appeared to be in an asylum.

A doctor then walked in upside down against the ceiling while holding a tray of medications, with a bottle of pills labeled “Forget Him.”

Swift was seen wearing a $6,200 strapless dress by Australian designer Toni Maticevski, which featured a dramatic neckline and fitted bodice.

The skirt section featured layered details and a thigh-high slit on the left side. She paired the stunning piece with sheer white gloves and a custom vintage diamond watch choker from Joseph Saidian and Sons.

Taylor opted for a smoky shadow around her eyes and a bold shade on her lips. Her eyebrows were covered while a thinner forehead was colored in, similar to the 1920s style.

The makeup was possibly a reference to the silent film era, which seemed to be a theme at the beginning and end of the music video.

A song on Tortured Poets Department is also called Clara Bow – an actress who rose to fame in the 1920s before transitioning to talking films.

Swift took the ‘Forget Him’ pill and was released from the chains, prompting her to step to the ground.

On Thursday, Taylor teased the black-and-white music video for the single Fortnight, starring Post Malone.

The short clip began with the words “I love you” typed repeatedly on a piece of paper. The video then jumped to clips of both Taylor and Post Malone, and at one point the pair shared an embrace on an open road.

Swift then wore a gothic, Victorian dress while in a room and appeared to cry as she sat at a desk writing.

Towards the end, the star wore a strapless dress as she threw a chair through the window. Fans then saw a close-up of the singer’s face as she gave a dramatic look directly at the camera, ending the teaser.

β€œAt this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings,” the Blank Space singer wrote in the caption as she counted down to the album’s release.

Also on Thursday, Swift announced that Fortnight would be the album’s first single.

Alongside a photo of the singer and Circles hitmaker, she wrote: ‘The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is……. Fourteen days with @postmalone.’

She then said, “I’m such a big fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation, and the melodies he creates that stick in your head forever.”

β€œI got to experience first-hand how magic came to life when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly, I can’t wait for you guys to hear this song tonight at midnight and the video tomorrow at 8pm.”
