Taylor Swift’s father Scott’s extraordinary act of kindness at daughter’s sold out show in Sydney: ‘Best dad in the world’

Taylor Swift’s loving parents are heavily involved in her global Eras Tour and have joined her in Australia to help out behind the scenes.

And on Friday, Swift’s dad Scott, 71, showed his support by handing out sandwiches and fruit to Swifties at Accor Stadium on the opening night of her shows in Sydney.

In a video shared by a concertgoer on TikTok, Scott can be seen at the back of the venue handing out snacks to hungry fans during a break in the show.

Scott looked every bit the doting dad as he held a bowl of food in the adorable clip.

Many fans quickly took to the comments section to talk about Taylor’s supportive father.

“Daddy Swift you are amazing,” one fan wrote, with a second person adding, “Best dad in the world.”

Swift’s parents Scott and Andrea regularly accompany her on tour around the world.

The first night of her tour Down Under in Melbourne last week saw her dad Scott handing out VIP wristbands to lucky fans.

But his involvement doesn’t stop there, as Scott and Andrea have long been heavily involved in Taylor’s tours and helped her achieve global superstar status.

Marketing manager Andrea and stockbroker Scott tied the knot in 1988 before welcoming their daughter Taylor the following year in 1989.

Her loving parents became aware of her passion for music at a very young age and the family moved to Nashville when Taylor was 14 years old to help her pursue her dreams of becoming a singer.

Taylor’s parents not only helped her get into music, but have also come to play a key role in her marketing strategy and are instrumental in her massive worldwide tours.

In 2009, Taylor talked about how her father Scott is a “social butterfly” who “loves to be on tour,” proving how close the family is.

Andrea and Scott – who reportedly quietly split in 2011 – famously handed out Taylor Swift-branded guitar picks and bracelets at their daughter’s concerts.

Taylor has performed the first two of her four sold-out shows in Sydney and will next take to the stage at Accor Stadium on Sunday night, followed by her final Australian concert on Monday.
