Taylor Swift’s 71-year-old father Scott is accused of assaulting an Australian photographer on a Sydney wharf as megastar lets her hair down until 3am after wrapping up her Eras tour.
Police have confirmed that Scott Swift, 71, attacked 51-year-old Ben McDonald at a Neutral Bay ferry terminal around 3am on Tuesday morning.
It is understood Taylor and her father had gone partying to celebrate her final show in Sydney when the alleged incident occurred.
The North Shore Police Command has launched an investigation into the alleged incident.
Mr McDonald told Daily Mail Australia that Taylor and Scott had traveled from Homebush, where the gig took place, on a luxury superyacht called Quantum.
When they got out, Scott allegedly ‘attacked’ him.
He had initially thought it was a security guard and was shocked to realize the alleged attacker was Scott.

“In 23 years I’ve never seen anything like this,” he said.
He did not know what prompted the alleged attack, but said: “He probably decided he had to defend his daughter for some reason.”
“She got off the boat, walked towards the guards who were pushing umbrellas in our faces, and then he attacked.”
Mr McDonald does not believe he will suffer permanent injuries, but he has “very painful chops” on the left side of his face.
