Fans of Taylor Swift have speculated that her breakdown during a Champagne Problems performance during one of her tour stops in Glendale, Arizona, was related to her now-revealed split from Joe Alwyn.
Several of the 33-year-old singer’s listeners have taken to the comments section of a video previously shared with TikTok user averysel’s account last month, in which she was seen in tears playing her emotionally charged song.
It was revealed that the Grammy-winning singer, who recently charted for the 189th time on the Billboard 200 chart, and her longtime boyfriend had ended their romance last week.
One of Swift’s fans commented that the song “hits different now” after news of the singer’s breakup was revealed to the public.
Another took the artist’s breakup to heart, writing, “I DON’T BELIEVE IN LOVE ANYMORE.”

One person in particular said the performance made her “so sad” after the breakup was made known to the public.
Lyrically, Champagne Problems is about a rejected proposal and includes lines like, “One for the money, two for the show/I was never ready, so I’ll watch you go.”
Swift was also torn during a tribute to her recently deceased grandmother that took place during one of her stops in Arizona.
A source spoke Entertainment tonight and revealed that the singer and Alwyn, 32, had ended their six-year relationship on Saturday.
The insider told the media that the couple’s breakup was “not dramatic” and it was also amicable in nature.
She added, “The relationship was just running its course. It’s why [Alwyn] has not been spotted at any show.’
The former couple was initially reported to have started a relationship in May 2017.
Swift was previously linked to numerous other entertainment industry figures, including Calvin Harris, John Mayer, and Jake Gyllenhaal.
