The British actor, 33, stepped out in black pinstripes as he attended a screening of his new film Kinds of Kindness in New York City on Friday.
His two-piece suit consisted of a casual jacket with padded shoulders and high-waisted trousers with a brown belt.
Alwyn wore the jacket over a rust orange shirt and white undershirt and completed the ensemble with a pair of brown leather loafers.
The Grammy Award winner posed for photos with fans outside the screening at the SAG-AFTRA Theater.

He was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons and Mamoudou Athie.
From writer and director Yorgos LanthimosKinds of Kindness contains three surreal stories, in which Alwyn and his co-stars each portray three different characters.
Stone, 35, who is friends with Alwyn’s ex Taylor Swift, raved about her co-star in a press release ahead of the film’s premiere.
“I love Joe,” she said. “We had to do some pretty dark stuff with this, so it was extremely comforting to be with him because he’s one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet.”
The pair’s on-screen collaboration comes after he and Swift, 34, called it quits last year after six years of dating.
Alwyn broke his silence on their split and ‘long, loving, completely committed relationship’ in a recent interview with The Sunday Times Style.
When asked if he had listened to her latest album The Tortured Poets Department, Alwyn said: “When I think about what I was going to say, I would think and hope that everyone can relate. … This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but I’m just thinking about what I want to talk about.
“I hope everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years,” he continued.
The Boy Erased actor admitted that their relationship was “difficult to navigate.”

While Swifties speculated about which songs could reference Alwyn, a source told People in April that he is “dating and happy.”
“He’s a great guy and doesn’t like drama in any way,” the insider said, noting that Alwyn “moved on” from Swift.
After their relationship ended last year, the source said he “certainly doesn’t talk bad about her,” adding, “He was in love with her, and it just didn’t work out.”
Alwyn is doing “well” and “focused on his work,” as the source noted: “Joe loves acting but can’t stand the attention that comes with it. He’s not comfortable in the spotlight.’
Kinds of Kindness is now in theaters.
