Taylor Swift may have accused ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn of disrupting her dreams of marriage and children by posting new lyrics on her album The Tortured Poets Department, but the British actor will maintain a certain silence and has no intention of respond, insiders claim.
Joe, 33, has never spoken publicly about his split from the singer, 34, who he dated for six years from 2017 until their breakup in April 2023.
But Taylor has seemingly bared her soul about the breakdown of their romance on her latest album – which was released last Friday – with insiders claiming Joe has been left ‘disappointed’ and has banned any mention of the singer on the upcoming press tour for his new album. film, Types of Kindness.
“There has been absolutely no contact between them,” a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘She didn’t play these songs because of him, but he didn’t expect her to either.
Joe Alwyn was not warned about the content of Taylor Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Departments, prior to its release last Friday, according to sources
The singer has seemingly bared her soul about all the things she believes went wrong with their romance, reportedly leaving Joe ‘disappointed’
‘Joe has listened to the album and is somewhat disappointed, but not at all surprised.
“She didn’t really trash or discredit him. Joe is not going to respond to this.”
Taylor, who is now dating NFL champion Travis Kelce, largely retreated from the spotlight during her time with Joe, with the super private couple rarely pictured together in public.
They won a Grammy for Album of the Year in 2021 after Joe co-wrote and co-produced a number of songs on her album Folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery.
A year later they were also nominated for the same award for Evermore.
The insider explained that Joe was more than aware of Taylor’s songwriting process thanks to the songs they created together.
“Taylor leverages her relationships for almost all of her songs and he admires her artistry,” the insider added.
“He’s made a lot of money from the six songs he wrote for Taylor in the past and he’s grateful that their relationship also helped make him a household name.”

“Joe has listened to the album and he’s a little disappointed but not surprised at all,” a source told DailyMail.com
Taylor’s album comes just two months before the release of director Yorgos Lanthimos’ upcoming film, Kinds of Kindness, which stars Joe alongside Oscar winner Emma Stone as her love interest.
“There’s a movie coming out that he’s focused on,” the source said. ‘He will handle the press, but will not answer questions from Taylor.
“Joe has moved on. He doesn’t hold any grudges against her for doing what she does. He knows it was part of the course.”
In previous years, the Boy Erased actor refused to talk publicly about their relationship.
“People on the street wouldn’t tell strangers about their personal lives, so why should I?” he said before they broke up last year.
In 2022, he said Harper’s Bazaar that he “can understand” the interest in their relationship as he is a public figure, before adding: “but I don’t see why these questions should always be answered.”
‘I absolutely expect people to ask those questions. If I put work out into the world, of course people will ask about it,” he added.
Joe has never spoken about his relationship with Taylor, whose new album appears to accuse him of cheating and destroying her dreams of marriage and children.

But despite being separated for a year, Taylor’s latest record has increased speculation about their romance, with the song appearing to accuse Joe of cheating and shattering her vision of the future in songs such as So Long, London and Fresh from the Slammer.
After TTPD dropped, Taylor shared a statement about letting go of the “sensational and sad” time that inspired the album.
“This period in the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up,” she wrote. ‘There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once the wounds are healed.
“And upon closer inspection, quite a few of the cases turned out to be self-inflicted.
‘This writer is convinced that our tears become sacred in the form of ink on a page. Once we tell our saddest story, we can be free from it. And then there remains only the tortured poetry.’

The album also seems to reference her brief 1975 conversation with frontman Matty Healy in the weeks following her divorce from Joe.
The lyrics refer to a man in a ‘Jehovah’s Witness suit’ – Matty is known for his signature black suits – and typewriters, which are on stage during his live shows.
Drug use is also discussed. The frontman, who is now dating model Gabbriette Bechtel, has spoken openly about substance abuse in previous interviews.
Their affair, which neither party confirmed, ended as quickly as it began after Taylor faced criticism from fans over Matty’s “bad boy” image and “racist” impressions on a podcast.
