Taylor Swift’s Brazilian concert promoter faces safety-related questions from father of 23-year-old woman who died at her Rio de Janeiro concert amid sweltering conditions

Taylor Swift’s concert promoters in Brazil are facing a heartbreaking demand from the father of Ana Clara Benevides, the 23-year-old fan who died Friday during the singer’s concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Benevides’ father Weiny Machado, 53, told the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo he wants promoters to clarify whether concertgoers were prohibited from bringing water to the show on Friday.

“I want it to be investigated whether they were indeed forbidden to bring water, whether there was negligence in providing assistance,” Machado told the newspaper. ‘I lost my only daughter, a happy and intelligent girl. She was about to graduate with a degree in psychology in April, which would save her money.

‘I have no words to express my pain. She left home to fulfill a dream and came back dead.’
