Taylor Swift unveils $1.7M expansion of Rhode Island manor where she stayed with Travis Kelce after Eras Tour

Taylor Swift has revealed her grand renovation plans for her Rhode Island mansion, where she regularly stays with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The superstar couple took refuge in the beautiful seaside estate in the exclusive Watch Hill neighborhood after Swift wrapped up the European leg of her Eras Tour in August.

This $17 million vacation home, which became a celebrity hotspot after hosting Taylor’s legendary Independence Day parties with her A-list friends like Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, is now ready for a lavish upgrade.

Swift plans a $1.7 million overhaul, including a 4,000-square-foot expansion, according to a building permit and zoning certificate obtained by UsWeekly on Tuesday.

The renovation will see one of the estate’s 11,000 square feet transformed into an “enlarged bedroom suite and lounge.”

In addition, the Cardigan singer, who bought the property in 2013, is looking at a new bedroom for the main house and a complete kitchen renovation.

Although construction details are not yet known, construction permits were issued in late November and early December 2024, with an expiration date of December 2025.

Set among more than five acres of pristine gardens, Swift’s Rhode Island retreat features a large terrace, a swimming pool with a pool house and a 700-foot private beach. It’s nothing less than a dream.

With eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms and eight fireplaces, this is the ultimate retreat.

Swift was last seen there in August 2024, when she hosted Travis and a close group of friends.

Taylor appeared to let her hair down after missing her annual 4th of July party as she was on tour, with sold-out dates across Europe.

The lovebirds have spent much of their time since their romance began heading out to see each other amid their busy schedules.

Meanwhile, Travis, Blake and Ryan aren’t the only stars who recently took refuge at Taylor’s Rhode Island getaway.

NFL star Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also spent some time at the property.

Since purchasing the estate in 2013, Taylor has hosted numerous A-listers, including ex-boyfriends Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris and Joe Jonas, as well as her famous ‘Taymerica’ Fourth of July parties.

Her former girls team members – Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne – are also frequent visitors.

When she was just 23 years old, Taylor set her sights on the 11,000-square-foot estate, which was for sale for $17.75 million.

The pop sensation – who recently released the album Red – is said to have paid for the property in full via a single bank transfer.

It was reported at the time that Taylor initially expressed interest in the property because it was close to her ex-boyfriend Connor Kennedy’s home in nearby Newport.

However, Taylor was pictured moving into the mansion with her father Scott in May 2013 – when her split from Connor was confirmed by People magazine in October 2012.
