Taylor Swift displayed ‘fan-like pride’ in boyfriend Travis Kelce and signalled her ‘total commitment’ with key gesture – but wanted to ‘avoid upstaging’ the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory, body language expert claims
Taylor Swift showed “fan-like pride” towards Travis Kelce and signaled her “total devotion” to her boyfriend after the Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the Super Bowl last night, a body language expert claims.
The pop sensation, 34, joined her American football boyfriend, also 34, on the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore after his team defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10.
The Love Story singer walked onto the field with Travis’ parents Donna and Ed Kelce before wrapping her arms around the sports star.
Travis wrapped a loving arm around Taylor as they walked across the field – only breaking away from his girlfriend to greet his brother Jason.
According to body language expert Judi James, Taylor showed an “amazing level of maturity and generosity” in her interactions with Travis, whom she had only been dating for a few months.

Speaking to FEMAIL, Judi said: ‘Taylor Swift’s global A-list status will mean she’s not used to being anything other than the center of attention.
“When she claims her man, her gestures are affectionate and affectionate, so that during the moments she has him to herself, she exudes a dazed sense of ownership and fan-like pride.”
At one point, Taylor wrapped her arms around Travis’ shoulders and looked at him lovingly. She later went in for a kiss, but used one hand to partially cover their faces.
Judi continued, “Her rituals include hugging the neck with encircling arms; face-gazing to read his mood and make sure he sees her signals of adoration.”
Highlighting Taylor’s “total devotion” and how she quickly glossed over their kiss, the expert continued: “Softness and shyness are a common symptom of genuine love, so this aspect of her body language makes her behavior look more authentic than celebrities who are cheerful and openly kissing and hugging on red carpets.’
As the couple walked across the field with their arms around each other, Judi explained: ‘There is a mutual look at each other, which is an important reciprocal gesture from him in a moment of glory and victory.
“It shows that he is as eager to share the moment of elation with her as she was when she ran off stage and threw herself at him after her concert. It implies that no matter how good life gets, in moments of professional glory and ecstasy, it is their affection for each other that completes it all.”
However, Judi highlighted how Travis used subtle gestures to indicate he would be breaking away from Taylor to greet his brother Jason – which the singer responded well to.

Body language expert Judi James said Taylor Swift showed an ‘astonishing level of maturity and generosity’ by stepping back so Travis could enjoy festive moments with his family

Cameras captured part of Travis Kelce’s sweet conversation with girlfriend Taylor Swift after his Kansas City Chiefs advanced to the Super Bowl
She explained, “As Travis’ brother draws closer, the couple uses some silent, subtle badger signs to signal an intention from Kelce to break away, and from Travis an acceptance and approval of that fact.
“He lowers his arm to her waist and she releases the tight grip of his vest and places a flattened hand on his back.”
As Travis performed an “alpha male party ritual” with his brother, Judi noticed how Taylor stood happily in the background, conscious of not intruding on their moment.
Describing how the singer “lacks insecurity” in this regard, the expert said: “Taylor looks so grown up here because she’s not hovering or trying to join in or even get back together with her man, she’s just happily melting backwards the scene to keep the scene from coming to the fore or Travis focusing on anything other than this ritual.
“Taylor doesn’t just retreat, she disappears and waits calmly and maturely for Travis to come looking for her again, which he does out of choice and not out of guilt or pressure.
She eventually made her way to Travis as they hugged several times on the field and also shared a few kisses
Body language expert Judi James said Taylor also used “signals of ownership” with Travis – such as nuzzling into his armpit and placing her hand flat on his torso
Other footage from the celebration showed Swift whispering in Kelce’s ear, though it’s unclear what she said during that conversation
After the Chiefs punched their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII after the game on Sunday, February 11, Swift was seen walking onto the field with Travis’ parents, Donna and Ed.
‘It pays off for her too. He returns to her and when he gives her a close-up, intimate smile of utmost affection, it seems more of his own choice than something he feels he should do to keep her happy.”
Additionally, the expert said Taylor also used “signals of ownership” with Travis, such as nuzzling into his armpit and placing her hand flat on his torso.
Judi added: “Travis’s reciprocal gestures are powerful as he adds a nose kiss and, even in his moment of glory, gives her moments of intimate and undivided attention.
“She generously shares it with his mother, brother and fans. And this signal, which should be so important for a sportsman, a family man and a man with the ambition to become a star himself.’
As Taylor joined Travis on the field, the football player was filmed asking, “What’s up, honey?” Where were you?’
Another video showed Swift and Kelce hugging again, and before they kissed, he said, “How about that one?”
During the game, she was spotted in one of the luxury suites, where she played the game with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Also in the suite were Keleigh Sperry and Cara Delevingne as they cheered on the Chiefs and Kelce, who caught 11 passes for 116 yards against the Ravens.
