Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are ‘not taking any chances’ after the Kansas City Chiefs star’s mansion was broken into last month, sources have revealed.
Kelce, 35, and his teammate Patrick Mahomes’ property in Kansas City were both targeted by thieves in early October.
Kelce’s lavish $6 million home in Leawood, Kansas was robbed on October 7 – the same day the Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints in Arrowhead as Swift, 34, watched from the stands.
After being shocked by the incident, a source told DailyMail.com that Kelce has no plans to sell the property, but they are “sparing no expense” when it comes to improving security.
“This was a calculated break-in and Taylor and Travis are not taking any chances,” the insider began. ‘The intruders knew exactly when the house would be empty and could easily see that she was at the game he was playing.
‘They knew how long to carry out the heist depending on the end of the game.

“After the match, they stayed in a hotel and have since taken drastic measures, including a more advanced home security system and reinforced locks, etc.”
The situation was an unwanted reminder of Swift’s own confrontations with intruders. In January, a man was arrested after trying to open the front door of her Manhattan townhouse in New York City.
The insider claimed that Swift was not the target of the raid on Kelce’s mansion.
“It was clear the robbers weren’t after her, but they still made off with $20,000 from his house, which wasn’t a problem for anyone,” they said.
“The fact that they were safe was all people cared about.”
Swift and her family would feel safe being with the NFL champion.
“Taylor feels safe when she is with Travis and he is by her side,” the insider added. ‘Her family feels safe when he is with her.
‘And they will both now feel incredibly safe in his home, as they also have 24-hour armed security staff to ensure something like this never happens again. They spare no expense.’

A second source added: ‘It’s sad that life has to be this way, but it’s such a normal way of life now that Taylor doesn’t feel scared anymore.
“Is she angry that this happened to Travis? No doubt, but she doesn’t feel like she’s in danger when she’s at his house. There is never anything in the back of her mind that suggests trouble is about to arise.
“They’re taking extra precautions in the meantime, but Taylor feels very safe and that’s where her headspace is.”
Kelce lost $100,000 worth of jewelry and the jersey he wore to his first-ever Super Bowl in 2020 when thieves ransacked his home.
It was initially reported that $20,000 in cash had been stolen from his $6 million property, while his back door was also damaged.
Mahomes, meanwhile, had jerseys, medals, trophies, awards and more stolen from his Missouri pad.
The criminals are also said to have stolen jewelry and designer bags from his wife Brittany.
‘It’s obviously frustrating. It’s disappointing,” Mahomes said in his first public comments since news of the burglary broke.
His Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes had also been the victim of a burglary just hours earlier, on October 6
“Obviously something happens that you don’t really want to happen to anyone. But of course yourself.’
Elsewhere, the 29-year-old has also reportedly beefed up security at his mansion.
According to TMZ, the quarterback wasted no time in ensuring that the burglary at his Belton mansion would not be repeated.
It is claimed he also increased security at the home just days later, with the gated community also taking extra measures to prevent further burglaries.
The burglars reportedly targeted Mahomes’ home around midnight on Oct. 6, just over a day before the Chiefs faced the Saints at Arrowhead Stadium.
An FBI spokesperson would neither confirm nor deny the existence of the reported investigations when contacted by DailyMail.com.
But their involvement in the case reportedly suggests that this is not a local-level burglary, but could involve organized crime that crosses state lines.
Mahomes and Kelce both live in the suburbs of Kansas City, both about a half hour from Arrowhead Stadium.
Kelce moved into his new home in Leawood last year, while the Mahomes family lives in Belton, Missouri.
