Taylor Swift: Travis Kelce competes for Chiefs without girlfriend present as fans claim he now ‘can’t score’ if she’s not at games

Travis Kelce had another quiet day at the office for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday – and fans are convinced it’s because Taylor Swift is gone.

The Chiefs bounced back from last weekend’s loss at the Denver Broncos with a 21-14 win over the Dolphins in Germany, playing the first of two international games there over the next seven days.

Despite the win, Kelce failed to meet his usually high standards for the second straight week, with the Kansas City tight end registering just three catches on four targets for 14 yards after struggling in Denver last Sunday.

Coincidentally, Swift didn’t show up to any of these games after previously attending four of the Chiefs’ last five games to cheer on her new boyfriend.

Convinced that Kelce can no longer perform at his best without the pop sensation present, fans are turning to X to share their theories.

One wrote, “Travis Kelce lowkey could be an ass without Taylor Swift,” before adding, “Side note: the man will NEVER be (Rob) Gronk(owski).”

Another said: ‘Travis Kelce ain’t crazy without Taylor Swift I see.’

Betting site BetMGM also highlighted the incredible stats that suggest Kelce is indeed performing better with Swift in the stands.

They posted: ‘Travis Kelce with Taylor Swift present: 108 yards per game – Travis Kelce without Taylor Swift present: 41 yards per game.’

Another fan commented, “I think we officially have enough data points to discuss Travis Kelce’s results with and without Taylor Swift in the game.”

A fourth said: ‘Let me find out Travis Kelce can’t perform without Taylor Swift there.’

While one person joked: ‘I bet Taylor Swift’s next song will be titled incompetence or inconsistency because it describes Travis Kelce’s football season without her at a game.’

Swift first came to Arrowhead to watch Kelce take on the Chicago Bears on September 24, after it was confirmed that the pair were indeed dating.

She was then at MetLife Stadium for its game against the New York Jets on October 1 before returning to Arrowhead twice last month.

However, the singer and songwriter is now heading out on her Eras Tour, which kicks off on Thursday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It’s therefore unlikely that Swift will be at a Chiefs game again until she completes the Brazilian leg of her tour in Sao Paulo at the end of this month – which could come as bad news for Kansas City fans given the aforementioned stats.
