The real reason why Taylor Swift is skipping Perth next year on her Eras Tour in Australia: ‘It’s a directive that comes from the artist’
Taylor Swift will be turning down all but two of Australia’s major cities on The Eras Tour in February, and now sources have revealed why.
The pop idol, 33, is scheduled for just seven shows in Melbourne and Sydney, leaving Swifties in Perth furious as they pull out thousands to see her.
However, tour sources have revealed that the decision to stay in the Southeast likely came from the Bad Blood hitmaker himself, reported Now Perth on Saturday.
“On big tours like this, the directive would come from the artist,” an insider told the publication.
Taylor is said to have said, “I only have time to visit two cities. I don’t have time to travel around the country.” It is a guideline that comes from the artist.’

And Perth was not the only city to be rejected, because Brisbane and Adelaide Swifties will also miss their idol on home soil.
Harvey Lister, the chairman of ASM Global Asia Pacific, said Taylor initially planned to play at Brisbane’s Lang Park stadium and Adelaide Oval.
However, once global tour dates started to fall into place, Australia was sadly “locked in” due to geographic logistics.

Taylor’s tour schedule includes a week-long stop in each city.
With Australia’s allotment of dates for just two weeks, only two cities could feasibly be included in the itinerary.
Lister explained to ABC Radio Brisbane, “There just wasn’t time to keep jumping from city to city.”
Despite the logistical challenges, the capacity of the stadiums in Brisbane and Adelaide was not an issue.
