Taylor Swift The Eras Australia tour 2024: Swifties count down the seconds as tickets go on sale

Taylor Swift’s Australian fans are gearing up this morning as the second batch of tickets for her The Eras Tour goes on sale.

Presale for Frontier members for the pop superstar’s Aussie shows will begin at 10am on Wednesday, June 28 – with tickets and VIP packages available.

Presale tickets for Sydney start at 10am, Melbourne tickets at 2pm.

There seems to be a queue in the lounge on the Ticketek website as early as 8am, thought Ticketek advised visiting the web page at least 15 minutes before for the best chance of purchasing a ticket.

Fans tangled Monday in a battle for pre-sale tickets for the American Express VIP package for its Australian shows next year.

And while many Swifties are on their way to see the pop star in February, others are worried about missing out on the second batch of pre-sale tickets, followed by the general public sale.

General tickets go on sale Friday, June 30, with Sydney starting at 10am local time and Melbourne going on sale at 2pm.

Demand for tickets to the American pop star’s shows is expected to be unprecedented and pre-sale allocations are likely to sell out.

Ticketek expects 10 times the number of people who tried to access the AMEX presale to try the Frontier presale and general public sale.

However, a Ticketek spokesperson provided Daily Mail Australia with the best and most helpful tips and tricks for scoring a ticket and not missing out.

They advise fans to be patient and follow the directions on their web page, making sure not to refresh their browsers to avoid losing their place in the queue.

‘Queues are a necessary part of the purchasing process. A way to guarantee fair access to tickets for all fans.

“Fans should remember not to leave the Lounge page or refresh their browser. The page will refresh itself regularly to get more fans to buy.’

Fans are also reminded that there is a strict time frame when purchasing tickets.

“Once fans are in the lounge, they should sit quietly and wait to be let through to the event page,” a Ticketek spokesperson added.

“And then, when they’re done, they have to remember to watch the timer and complete their purchase within the time frame.”

It’s never too early to start preparing for when the tickets go on sale.

For Wednesday’s presale, Frontier members have been advised to head to frontiertouring.com/taylorswift as soon as possible to get their unique presale code and then bookmark the page.

They must remember their presale code and not share it with anyone.

When buying tickets as a group, it is always important to plan and agree on the performance date, ticket price category and any arrangements in advance. That way your timer won’t run out before you buy it.

There is a limit of four tickets per customer for each of Swift’s shows.

So it’s a good idea for Swifties to choose who and how many people they hope to go with well before tickets go on sale.

Another tip is for each person to choose a different concert date when purchasing tickets to increase their chances.

Fans are encouraged to visit Ticketek at least 15 minutes before tickets go on sale to give them the best chance of purchasing tickets.

Ticketek is the only authorized seller of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour tickets in Australia.

Tickets are only available for access through the Ticketek app, which must be downloaded with the latest version before the shows.

“Our team at Frontier has worked tirelessly with Ticketek to try and make the process for these shows as smooth as possible, but we are seeing historically unprecedented demand for these concerts,” said Frontier CEO Dion Brant.

Taylor announced last Wednesday that she will be bringing her Eras Tour to Sydney and Melbourne in February 2024.

The concerts are the first time the Love Story hitmaker, 33, has performed in Australia since 2018.

The Pennsylvania native will perform five concerts in Australia in February, two in Melbourne and three in Sydney.

The Victorian shows will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 16 and 17.

Swift will then fly to Sydney to perform three consecutive nights at Accor Stadium on February 23, 24 and 25.

Frontier Touring advises fans to purchase tickets through authorized sellers.

“We cannot guarantee ticket purchases made by any means other than through the official ticket offices listed on the Frontier website,” it said in a statement.

And since Swift only performs in Australia’s two largest cities, tickets are expected to sell out quickly as fans travel interstate to see the iconic singer perform.

Fans will have to spend between $79.90 and $379.90 to see the Fearless star live in concert.

Plus, VIP packages start from $349.90 and go up to a whopping $1249.90 for the It’s Been A Long Time Coming Bundle.

This package includes one Reserved Floor A ticket, four Taylor Swift prints, a tote bag, merchandise, souvenirs, and a VIP Tour laminate/matching lanyard.

Swift’s acclaimed Eras Tour is fast becoming one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time, already earning more than $1 billion.

The iconic singer performs a set list of 44 songs over three hours, consisting of both new and old hits.

As the name suggests, fans can expect her to pay tribute to her different musical ‘eras’ in an extravagant show where no expense is spared.

The Eras Tour started in March and ends on August 9.
